Third Party Camps & Clinics

Third Party Camps & Clinics

Learn more about required liability insurance and get a quote.

Background

If you are a third-party coach operating an independent camp or clinic on properties owned and operated by the University of California, you are required to have Participant General Liability insurance in place naming The Regents of the University of California as an Additional Insured. In addition, Accident Medical insurance with a minimum limit of $25,000 is required for all Sports Participants. We partner with Special Markets Insurance Consultants (SMIC) to provide this coverage.

If you’re hosting an event/camp that requires an overnight stay or runs for multiple days, you are required to be covered for Abuse and Molestation with a minimum limit of $1,000,000* in addition to Participant General Liability & Accident Medical insurance. For these types of events/camps, please select all three coverage options on the application and enter the required limit.

If SMIC is unable to provide the required coverage you need for General Liability and/or for Sexual Abuse & Molestation, please call our CampusConnexions service team at 1-866-838-9536 , Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (CT).

*Certain Campuses may require higher limits; please confirm with the Campus on their specific requirement.
